Hi, I’m Kim.
I know what it feels like to use food for comfort and then feel disappointed in yourself afterward.
Even as a Registered Nurse, I struggled with emotional eating for years.
One morning, I experienced a chest pain so intense that I thought I might die.
In the silence of that moment, God spoke to me.
He said:
“It is not supposed to be this way.”
His voice was not condemning.
It was full of love, kindness, and compassion.
That moment became an invitation.
Instead of trying harder or condemning myself again, I invited God to teach me how life was supposed to be.
That was December 11, 2003.
What began helping me respond differently was not trying harder or adding stricter rules.
It was learning to understand what food had been helping me cope with…
and inviting God into those places with honesty, truth, and care.
I founded Take Back Your Temple for women like me who already know what healthier choices look like but find them difficult to follow when life feels stressful, overwhelming, exhausting, or emotionally heavy.
In our program, you'll learn how to understand what emotional eating may be communicating so you can respond with greater peace, wisdom, and clarity.
And you won't walk that path alone.
I, along with other women who understand this journey, will walk beside you in our supportive community.
Together, we pursue greater health, healing, and wholeness in the Lord.
"I really want to thank you because you always take the time to acknowledge a contribution that any of us makes.
As many of us who have food and weight issues struggle with feeling unimportant and not valued, groups like this really help us as we look to God and find our rightful place.
I really appreciate that each time I post, you always respond.
I love this community and I thank God for you."
