Dare to Ask

What do you desire, but don't dare ask for? Today, be of good courage. Dare to ask! I think many of us live life too small. We settle for less than we could have due to fear, past disappointment, or concern about what other people think. Throw that out of the window. Expand your thinking. Dare to ask God for more. Our role model, Jesus, asked God for stuff all the time. That's how he was able to operate in such power. He healed diseases, multiplied provision, walked on water, cast out evil, raised the dead. All because he dared to ask in prayer. Other examples from the bible of others who dared to ask include:
  • Moses: Asked God to show him his glory
  • Jacob: Asked for God's presence, protection, provision, and to return to his father's house in peace
  • Jabez: Asked for God's blessing, to enlarge his territory, God's hand to be with him and to keep him from evil
  • Hannah: A son
  • Samson: Extra physical strength
  • King Solomon: Wisdom
  • King Hezekiah: For his life to be extended
In fact, Jesus' most outrageous promise was about asking: "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” Abide in God's presence through Jesus, meditate on his promises, ask according to his promises, and you will operate in God's power! Ask more of God - more love, more boldness, more strength, more wisdom.Dare to prepare to receive by sowing God's word in your heart. God will send the rain but rain does no good if there is no seed in the ground.
So plant plenty of good seed in your heart and sow into the lives of others. You will bring forth an abundant harvest in due season that you will not have enough room to receive. All because you dared to ask! Be blessed with health, healing, and wholeness, Kimberly Taylor Author/Christian Life Coach of the Take Back Your Temple program P.S.
