One of the most common questions I get with the Take Back Your Temple (TBYT) program is some variation of "Where's the diet?" or "What's the diet?"
You may think that TBYT is a
diet program with a little Jesus layered on the top.
Nothing could be further from the truth!
Your relationship with Jesus is the core of the TBYT program. He is first.
Why?
Because your relationship with the Lord impacts:
- How you view the world
- How you view yourself
- How you make personal decisions
All of these impact how you move through each day. You are on a journey
through life.
This week, I read an impactful quote from Rabbi Harold Kushner related to this:
Our souls are not hungry for fame, comfort, wealth, or power. Our souls are hungry for meaning, for the sense that we have figured out how to live so that our lives matter, so that the world will be at least a little bit different for our having passed through it.”
Personally, I believe that we should aim higher as Christians; our world is not just "a little bit different" for our having passed through it, but our world is
better!
Not only that, but we don't have to "figure out how to live" so that our lives matter.
The Lord has placed us on this Earth at this time, within our families, among our coworkers, church members, and friends to make a positive impact.
Our Heavenly Father gave us His instruction book, the Bible. His book shows us how to live and how to make Godly decisions in every area.
Even though Jesus lived over 2,000 years ago, the positive impact He made was eternal.
When we follow His word and live for Him, the impact we make is eternal too.
In Matthew 7:13-14, Jesus said:
Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it."
When you find Jesus, rejoice that you have found the way to life!
Every day, you walk the path to an abundant life in Him. You face each day with confidence as you recommit yourself daily to following Him.
In Him is the path to peace.
With TBYT, you learn that taking care of yourself is not about size, but about stewardship.
- You learn wise strategies on how to eat whole foods so that you take back your health and energy.
- You see your health as an investment worthy of your time and attention.
- You protect your health from the enemy's deceptions.
- You believe that good health will give you the daily energy and focus needed to live a life that matters.
You learn to translate these beliefs into your daily health habits.
The Biblical principles you learn become your guide in how you treat others, how you manage your time, and yes, how you take care of your body.
You change one small step at a time. You change from the inside out.
You embark on a journey to:
- Grow spiritually
- Heal emotionally
- Lose the weight
So I hope that clarifies what the
Take Back Your Temple program is about.
I hope you decide that you want to live a life that matters. TBYT is a program that shows you how to live each day according to Biblical principles.
When you live God's way, you live to maximum, positive, healthy effect. You live an abundant life!
