Prevention Magazine interview is out – YES!

I am thrilled to be featured in a story called 'The Faith to Lose' in the August 2008 issue of Prevention Magazine. I was expecting the story to be on the newstands by July 1 but a friend of mine called me on Friday: "Girl I saw the August issue of Prevention at the grocery store!" Of course, I had to rush out to the grocery store myself to see if it was available at my store. I was so excited when I saw it! I bought a couple of copies, then called my fiance, and contacted other family and friends to tell them too. Winnie Yu interviewed me for the story back in April and a couple of weeks later, Prevention sent out a photographer named Erika Larsen to my house. We had a lot of fun and she was wonderful at getting me to relax and have fun. I felt like a fashion model! She ended up taking the photo used for the story on an unpaved road behind my subdivision. It is wonderful that a secular magazine is doing a story about faith and weight loss. I could not have lost my weight and kept it off without my faith in God. I had tried diet after diet, but only after getting myself grounded in Him and seeking His wisdom was I able to find the balance I was searching for, which empowered me to make wise choices in how I care for my body. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my story and hope that it blesses many others!
