Note: My husband Mike wrote this family prayer back in 2017 but it is even more relevant now! Please receive this prayer for strength and encouragement.
Good morning TBYT Family,
As I was preparing to turn in last night, God placed it on my heart to write a TBYT family prayer.  Although the prayer below may read as a general prayer, it is far from that as each and everyone of you are covered in Jesus name.

The TBYT Family Prayer
Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, recognizing you as the one and only true God. You are God alone and the creator of all things in Heaven on Earth and beyond.
We are your children and it is our delight for you to delight in us. Therefore, help us to be all that we can be in you. Find us acceptable in your sight. Lead us and guide us with your Holy Spirit.
On December 31, 2016, we prayed and proclaimed that you would be prominent in each of our lives this year and that we would strive to accomplish the tasks that you have set before us in the natural and in the Spiritual.
It seems like only yesterday that we submitted that prayer to You Father and my how the years have passed!
We quickly realized that as we got busy being about YOUR business, the enemy got busy being about his. Nonetheless, we know there is no weapon he can create that will defeat your people based on your Word:
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn.”
Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV):
Armed with that knowledge of truth, we shall walk through this day and every day with joy, peace, power, boldness, strength, and praise because we know the days have already been fashioned for us and we will determine what type of day it shall be by Your Power and Your Might.
“…your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.”
Psalms 139:16 (NKJV)
We already know that with every temptation and fiery dart that the enemy may throw at us, You have already made a way of escape:
- If that escape route is to say nothing, then we shall keep silent and allow you to work in our life.
- If that escape route is to run as Joseph ran; watch our dust!
- If that escape route is to push the plate away then push away we shall.
- If that escape route is to pray, we shall pray without ceasing.
- If that escape route is to sing praises to you, then let our voice be a sweet sound in your ears.
Anoint the reader of this post and let them know that you are fully aware of what they are going through and that you have already dispatched angels (specific angels) to help manifest their prayers in the area that they are hurting the most.
Help them to understand that you can and will do exceedingly and abundantly more than they can ask or think on.
Whether their area of discomfort is in health, they and their family members shall be healed according to your Word.
Finances, lack of employment, unruly children, strained relationships, broken marriages, governmental obstructions, and reformed criminal trespasses are nothing to You and you shall restore your people in these areas.
Now my Father, these words are my typed words of prayer as your Holy Spirit has inspired me to type. Nonetheless, unless you manifest the end results of this prayer, they are words that are easily typed to fit any and all situations.
Therefore, my Lord manifest your greatness even now on behalf of Your people; NOT so that we can believe because we already believe, but rather that your people will be edified and You be Glorified in this earth, this day.
In the meantime, we shall continue to give you all the praise, honor and glory in the mighty majestic name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I thank God for your prayer. I am a new comer to the TBYT program. I am struggling with sweets which gives me inflammation. My weight is causing all types of problems with my health. I am believing God for His healing in all areas in my life. Thank you for allowing God to use you.

Thank you for that very powerful and anointed prayer… it was such a very personal prayer for me. In a season when the Lord has declared to me that Winter is over and spring has come for me… when I am being reinforced to trust the Lord and His Word and not my sight…your prayer just right on time, saying exactly the verse that the Lord has been giving me …God truly is a personal, sweet, loving, gentle Father. A provider of ALL my needs….

God knows how to communicate with his people in many different ways with just one Word or the same Words!
I am reminded of how Fonzi of the old “Happy Days” series (yes I am up there in age [smiles]); how at the first few episodes he would only say “Ay”. Depending on who he was”communicating” with the same “AY” meant different things from “yes” to “no” to “get away from me” to “don’t try it” to “I don’t know” to “I like that” to “thank you” to more.

Thank you so much for the prayer! Lord knows, today of all days it came at the perfect time. Sometimes one cannot see the light at the other end of the same tunnel that they once did see the light in. That probably sounds a little absurd; I know. But then God sends an email 🙂 with a gentle reminder of His provision and care and that makes all the difference.

That is not absurd at all and I understand it to be “complacency, Taking God for granted and/or disappointment”. Those are created by human (flesh) emotions which we can indeed control when we keep our mind steadfast (stayed) on God in the name of Jesus.
I find it amusing how you say (not verbatim) that “today of all days, God sends an email”. It’s amusing because God know what we need and when we need it because the email was sent “yesterday” but you read it today and received your blessing. Someone may read it a year from now for the first time and will be released and delivered from opposition, oppression and all kinds of sins.
Yes indeed, he sent that email with “ADDY” in mind!

Kimberly, I don’t know if you remember me but I met you over the internet about 5 years back. I was battling with a deep depression after surviving an abusive 30 yr marriage, then survived a critical breast cancer, then a difficult divorce…At that time, I was an emotional eater and put on a 100lbs of extra weight. I was miserable inside. I was so depressed and struggling for answers.
Then I found your TBYT book. And when I started to read and read your words, that you believed we had to reconnect with God, to heal and be healthy, those words captured my attention and that was my turning point to change. Your book gave me guidance and hope. I knew then I needed to see myself through God’s eyes and love myself again….Or at least forgive myself for what felt like failures I should have been able to control. It has taken me some time, but through God’s grace I’ve been healing and losing weight. I am finding myself again. I am feeling joy again. Losing weight and growing closer to God at the same time is truly a healing received from the inside out. Thank you for helping me get on the right path. I’ve lost 60lbs, many inches and down 4 pant sizes, and still losing and still striving to be all God created me to be…Physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Just now when I read Mike’s prayer, I felt God’s hand again in your ministry. Mike, thank you for the beautiful prayer. Your loving, heartfelt words are very touching and I agree, God was speaking through your words. Your prayer is very beautiful. And it’s inspiring for me to see a couple together spreading God’s love and blessings. Gives me hope for an even better future.

This was definitely a God thing today. I started out the year at a 5 week health and wellness retreat. Ive lost 23 lbs since january 3rd, praise God! the last few weeks tho, Ive backslid into some unhealthy eating choices again. And not worked out to the degree I was. I am working on getting back on track, my husband is too. This prayer was so timely, thank you God, and Mike, for your obedience in it.

Mike & Kim, When I joined the family I just wanted to lose some pesky weight. What I found is the encouragement of a dear sister’s wisdom, and now the prayers of a brother. My heart is overwhelmed. It brings tears to my eyes to be so loved by God and His people. Before TBYT I had no ‘way of escape’ for my health issues. Now I see a world filled with Hope. To have prayers as well, let’s just say, you made my day. Thank you. And thanking my Abba Father that He refreshes those who refresh others. Many, many years ago, I bought a truck at a dealership who had a salesman with the name “Mike Taylor”. The way I found out is one day I took my truck in to be serviced and they had paged “Mike Taylor to the service desk”. I got there quickly and the girl at the desk looked at me like I was crazy when I asked her if she paged me. At that time, the salesman Mike Taylor showed up and we had a great laugh. NOW HERE’S THE KICKER! While we were laughing another gentleman was there having his car worked on; he said, “Did you guys page Mike Taylor?” Yes, my dear sister, his name was Mike Taylor as well; our mouths just dropped.
Regarding the condition of your hand, it would be nice if God healed it, but even if he doesn’t, do be content in whatever state he has you in if the situation is not changing according to your time-frame. He heard you the very first time you asked to be healed and it did not fall on deaf ears.
We (Kim and I) are operating in God’s grace with ONE vehicle and I have asked him several times to provide me with a truck. Kim and I are at the church quite often at different times among other places and it can be difficult trying to arrange our schedules so we can accomplish the things necessary in what we like/want and need to do.
As a matter of fact, I had to cancel an engagement this very weekend (4-1-2017) because Kim has a 10am meeting at our church that day, then I discovered that my meeting was just around the corner from our church and was able to move it to the same time-frame as Kim. So now I will drop her off at the church then come back to pick her up afterwards. GOD SEE IT and I will not ask him again for a truck but will rejoice when he finally send/give me one.
So in my “cool in the know voice” Work that hand girl, work that hand!

Thank you for allowing God to use you in sharing this prayer. My Mom departed for Heaven in November. I have been a caregiver most of my life caring for other relatives. Now it is just me & a couple of nephews. I know they love me. I know God loves me & is present with me. The grief process is so much harder this time. I am trying to get back into my church activities & community service (I am a volunteer nurse manager for a local free Christian Clinic) Now I am having severe hip problems that hampers my mobility. Weight is a big issue & I am working on that with my eating plan. I have let my house get into shambles & am so ashamed for anyone to come to visit. I have been asked to speak for a women’s conference in July. One day I think I can & the next I am doubtful. I feel so empty at times…so alone. Thanks for your prayer.

Cherish those wonderful memories you have of your mom with the knowledge that she is where you and I are trying to get. Then briefly remember those painful moments she experienced during her life on earth and take comfort in knowing that her pain and labor is “over”.
Do indeed stick to your eating plan. Recognize that the enemy is using the condition of your house as a guilt trip to beat you down with shame. The Lord rebuke that spirit of shame and that spirit of pride in the name of Jesus. If you can’t move around your house to effectively get it to where “you” want it to be and not to the opinion of your family and guest, then seek the help of local services. Go ahead and make your apology “one time and one time only” as a way to recognize and release the situation.
You are a nurse which means you are a server. Serving is one of my gifts from God. Servers have a hard time receiving help from others because we feel we should serve and not receive. Know this, that every good thing and good thoughts we have comes from God. So before we can give or serve we must first receive it from God. Do seek the assistance my sister if your nephews can’t help.
As for the womens conference, (IMHO) you have been asked to speak because someone or many feel you are a great candidate to speak to their group. Now, that no good lying wonder got in your beautiful head and said “I can’t speak to them. They won’t listen to me. Who do I think I am, talking to others when my own life is in shambles?” Did you notice how he talks to you as though it is “YOU” who’s doing the talking/thinking? That’s one of his lying ways; to make you think it’s you and not him.
YOU CAN DO ALL, ALL, ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS WHO STRENGTHENS YOU! I know you believe it so speak and allow God to speak through you. Show up and step aside to let God speak because it is him who speaks through us and not we ourselves. Now if you try to do it under your own limited power, you will indeed fail.
Find the strength to be transparent and use your own situation to encourage others. They/we need to see the weakens and troubles other are experiencing yet going through victoriously.
You are spiritually and wonderfully made so start making plans to speak to the women I was too tire to type this prayer but I did because God knew you needed to read it and be healed. So don’t allow my efforts to be in vain in your situation. There are many, many people (not just women) who really need to hear what God is planning to speak through you. If you will allow him to use you, then he will do many great things in your life in this present world.

Mr. Taylor….there are no words to describe the joy of reading this prayer. As I was getting ready for work, this morning, and talking to God, there were things that are really pressing on my heart. I told God that I KNOW He hears me, but being human, there are times I need reassurance and this was one of those times because my heart was heavy. To the point of crossing the line into fear. I get to work over an hour early so, I decide to check my emails. Being the good God and loving Father that He is, I open your email and there He is….reassuring me! Wow! First of all Lisa my day is even more blessed because of your words. I understand what you mean when you say “Thank you Mr. Taylor” because we both know that ALL GLORY HONOR AND THANKS belong to God. Nonetheless, I am very, very grateful that God did indeed use me for this task. But let me be frank ad transparent, as I replied to someone else earlier, I am very humbled because initially, I wanted to wait until morning to submit the prayer as my fleshly body was tired and I just wanted to give it some much needed rest.
God in his infinite wisdom knew that many of his children need the comfort of his Words while he is preparing their specific deliverance. Quite often, I say to God “Use me Lord in any way you see fit” “Any WAY” sometimes mean it may be uncomfortable for us but if we really mean it then we will comply; God called me out on my request and the enemy was standing by looking to see if I would delay the prayer as he was hoping I would.
I typed earlier in the reply to you that I am humbled and I truly am because I realize by your post that had I NOT sent that prayer when God instructed me to, you may not have received your blessing and confirmation this morning. THAT’S NOT TO SAY that you would not have received your blessing and conformation at all because God would have simply used someone else to accomplish His will as He has reserved 7,000 unto Himself who has not bowed down to baal.
|So I am the one who is thanking you my dear sister for sharing your heart with me. (just wow!)

In Jesus’ name Amen!! My precious little family has been battling sickness for going on 3 weeks now!! I know that the Lord is fighting on our behalf and come into agreement with this prayer for all of God’s people! Thank you for being sensitive to the Holy Spirit.

And because you typed “I KNOW”, I am CONFIDENT that God will indeed heal your family in such a way that it won’t be dismissed as “Healed through the season of time” or “The sickness just went through its course”.
God will not share his Glory with any man or anything.
Prophecy is not one of my gifts and I don’t claim to know the future but I DO INDEED RECOGNIZE GOD’S PROMPTING WHEN I SEE IT AND FEEL IT!
I do believe that sickness will be lifted now if it has not been already. I believe that sickness is not something that God had to heal but a prompting and glimpse that God is about to call your family into service regarding something that you (and perhaps your family) has been spiritually, emotionally, physically and mentally sick over.
Now that the physical sickness “HAS BEEN HEALED” do keep your heart, ears and eye open to what God will have you and your family to do.
I wrote earlier that we should move immediately when prompted by God. However, if a person does not know when they are being prompted by God then they must first have a complete reckoning otherwise the enemy will come in and act as though he is God promoting you.
Now here is what I do to ensure it is God I am hearing from and not the enemy:
1. Understand that ALL GOOD THINGS come from the Lord and NOT the enemy. So ask yourself “Will something good come from this and from me moving immediately?”
If the answer is “YES” then get busy immediately as it is from God! If the answer is “NO” then it is from the enemy, have the Lord to rebuke him in the name of Jesus then bounce it from your mind.
2. If the answer is “YES something Good will come from it, however feelings may be hurt or perhaps an uncomfortable situation may arise from it” then WAIT and DO NOTHING!!!!
The reason being is that if it is from God then he will show his hand in due season in such a way that you will have no doubt it is from God! If it is from the enemy, then he will show his hand in such a way that you will have no doubt it is from the enemy
3. (Which really must be number one), supplement your action and decisions with prayer then proceed to #1.

Gina, I must say that I was tired when God placed it on my heart to submit that prayer and I did think about waiting until the morning but quickly dismissed that action. We are most effective in the ministry when we respond “immediately” to God’s prompting. These comments prove that God is still in control and know what we need to do; when we need to do it!

Thank you for that awesome prayer. I am grateful for finding this work. I am starting my 4th day with no sugar (except the creamer in my coffee) or bread. I decided to do a 21 day fast from both. I have never been able to stick with a diet but in listening to your materials it gave me a different outlook. I believe by God’s grace he is helping me.

Amen! Thank you for that prayer. I needed that this morning. I want nothing more than to think on my Daddy and His son Jesus today. I want to cast ALL my concerns on Him and have a day of peace with no thought of what’s going on in my life…my marriage.

thank you so much!!!! Im struggling with digestive issues and stress management. Im desperate to really see myself as God sees me and also be delivered of PTSD from abuse..Im a single mom and im back in school.( Lord,I hope this is you! please confirm for me,lord that IM in your will.) God talks to ALL OF HIS CHILDREN. We as his children must be quiet long enough to hear Him then respond immediately and accordingly. I have read how the enemy has attacked you in some most vicious and heinous ways. You can be an overcomer because Jesus overcame the world.
yeah, yeah, yeah, I know; you hear those words all the time from a lot of people but seen no results in your life.
Fair enough my sister. However, the prayer (today) has gone out and it shall not return back to God void or without accomplishing what it went out to do. Allow me to challenge you right now to start afresh and trust God with everything within you. God has already confirm to you that this is HIM by the simple fact that I as his servant is responding to your post. The very next thing that must happen (going forward if you will accept the challenge) is that “you” must first believe that God is who he say he is on faith alone. He will only confirm so much with you until you move in faith which requires both a belief in Him and “action” by what you demonstrate in your life.
Hebrew 11:6 (NKJV)…But without faith it is impossible to please Him. For he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
You may have heard the song “One day at a time – sweet Jesus”. Well that is all God is requesting that you do; move through his guidance “One day at a time”. Men say that the only thing God cannot do is LIE. I say there is another thing God cannot do and that is make a mistake. So if you truly believe God’s Word that says you are spiritually and wonderfully made, then believe that is how God made you.
I noticed that of the many things you want to accomplish in your life, the last thing was to get stronger in Jesus name. That my dear sister should be the absolutely FIRST thing in your life. The order does indeed matter. (Remember that God is a rewarder of those who “diligently” seek him.)
Ask God to help you to forgive those who abused you and to help YOU remove any hate toward them. I know that can be difficult because I thought I had forgiven someone who betrayed my trust many years ago and then about a year ago, the enemy reminded me of the hurt I experienced and I became angry all over again and it would have lasted within me for a good while if my Kimmie had not been there to calm be down and help me to finally get rid of those ill feelings.
This is me right now, if you can truly and fully forgive then everything else will fall into place for you which will include the shedding of 40-50 pounds, your digestive system performing as it was created to do which will relieve you of the stress AND the PTSD symptoms. Your attitude toward life will change for the positive and you will indeed be a shiny and positive example not only for your children but those around you who truly know your story.
You will then counsel others in the area that you have reluctantly known so well. They in turn will be blessed and edified and our Father in Heaven will be Glorified.
I could have sent you this reply privately but I do understand that the trials you are going through are not unique to you alone but others are going through them and still others have gone through them victoriously and may indeed comment behind me to confirm it.
I have added you to our “Keep In Prayer List” which is a list that we pray over where people have requested that we keep them in prayer which is hard to do with so many requests. God gave it to us to pray initially for the situation then add their name to the list and pray over the list. It has become God’s responsibility to remember the hundreds of names on the list and what their request was for. (What a cool God and Dad we serve!)

Thank you Mike and Kim for this website, your prayers and allowing God to work through you! I sit here tonight emotionally and spiritually drained. I just cried out to my Lord and Savior and cast all my cares and burdens upon him. Mike, as I read your response, I’m realized that I needed to forgive myself as Jesus has forgiven me for years of disobedience. My life is not what I want it to be and it is because I wasn’t seeking Him and obeying His will for my life. I believe I have been angry and disappointed at myself all of these years for this. Maybe this is why I overeat and sabotage any effort to get healthy. As the song goes, “He’s still working on me, to make me what I ought to be,,,” He still has a LOT of work to do with me, and as much as I wish it would be instantaneous, I know it will be a journey. Please pray for me to live a truly surrendered and obedient life according to His will and not mine. Thank you again and God Bless!

try me lord,examine my heart and see if there be any wicked way in me,and lead me in the way everlasting
