Recently, I asked the Take Back Your Temple community to send me encouraging scriptures that remind them ‘Who I am in Christ Jesus’ (their identity) according to the Bible.
I issued the challenge because too often, we define ourselves by external standards like how we look, our relationships, how much money we have, or by even our own negative self image.
But God’s standard about who we are should reign above all others – yes, even above our own opinion!
Here are the encouraging scriptures. I hope you enjoy them and confess them if you ever start to doubt how valuable you are to God.

I am so grateful for these scriptures. I have recently lost my grandson to suicide. Today was a bad day for me and his fiancé was over. There are ever so many questions as to why someone would do this and the ever ending question of what could I have done better to help that person in their darkness when that darkness closes in on them. Even though those questions don’t usually get answered they still remain there. So today these scriptures were really needed in my life. Thank you.
Thanks for the Reminder
You are such a blessing to so many, Kim! May the Lord continue to guide you in providing heart-lifting scriptures and counsel to souls everywhere!
