About Kimberly Taylor

For years, I believed my struggle with food was simply a discipline problem.

I loved God deeply, yet I often found myself turning to food for comfort, relief, and emotional escape.

What I eventually discovered changed my life:
many eating struggles are connected to deeper emotional and spiritual patterns that diet plans alone cannot heal.

That realization became the foundation for Take Back Your Temple.

Today, I help Christian women understand the deeper patterns beneath emotional eating so they can respond with greater clarity, peace, and self-control through faith-centered guidance and emotional healing.

Many women have suffered emotional hurts. A diet can never fix that. But the Great Physician can!

Even though I accepted Jesus as my Savior back in 1992, my life did not change for nine years. I went to church on Sunday, but put God back on the shelf Monday – Saturday.

However in 2001, I went to the Christian women’s conference that changed my life. There I discovered how much God loved me. The conference’s theme scripture became mine personally:

“The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing (Zephaniah 3:17).”

At that Christian women’s conference, I was 240 pounds and a size 22. Obesity was smothering the life out of me.

But once I received God’s love for me and replaced my weakness with His strength, my life was forever changed.

I lost the excess weight, maintaining the changes for over 20 years with God’s help! The scripture 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 inspired the name Take Back Your Temple:

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

TBYT is a prayer – asking God to take control of your life so He can use them for His purpose. It is an exciting journey. You use your healing journey to draw closer to Him.

In that way, God can be glorified through it.

If healing from the inside out is your goal too, then I have several resources to help you:

God’s love for you will not change no matter your size.

Instead, it is about stewardship; you recognize how valuable you are to God because His Spirit lives on the inside of you.

I pray that you grow in Spiritual fruit so that together, we can glorify our God in body and Spirit!

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law (Galatians 5:22-23).”

In this way, others will taste and see that our Lord is good!
