Heal and Reveal (1 Empowering Healing Scripture)

One of my favorite healing scriptures includes a powerful promise from God to ‘ heal and reveal ‘:

Behold, I will bring it health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth

Jeremiah 33:6

Why is this important? Our weight loss journey is also about heal and reveal. It is not just about food.

Many of us remain in food bondage because of things concealed. However, the Lord promises to reveal.

Here is the difference between reveal and conceal:

  • Conceal: Keep from sight; hide; keep secret; prevent from being known or noticed
  • Reveal: make something previously unknown or secret known, disclosure of information

There is an old saying that, ”You cannot conquer what you will not confront.”

That means that you can’t do anything about something that you can’t or won’t see.

You’ll end up repeating the same patterns of the past and wonder why you remain in pain.

Our pastor says, “Awareness is the beginning of change.

The Lord promises to reveal 2 things to us: peace and truth. Both are available to us through our relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Truth Revealed

Jesus said:

”I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

– John 14:6

When we follow Jesus’ way, we walk in the truth and experience abundant life in Him more and more.

A big part of our healing journey is to learn to recognize the enemy’s lies and combat them with God’s truth.

The biggest enemy deception is getting us to believe lies about our identity.

In 2 out of the 3 temptations the enemy brought to Jesus, he tried to get Jesus to question His identity. The enemy said, “If you are the Son of God…” as if Jesus had something to prove! See Luke 4:1-13.

However, the more we know and believe the truth about who we are in Christ and walk in that truth, the more freedom we experience.

Peace Revealed

Jesus also promises peace in the journey:

”Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid “

– John 14:27

Our part is to recognize our peace is in Jesus and not in life circumstances.

Jesus tells us to ”let not” our hearts be troubled and afraid, so our job is to meditate on God’s perfect love and care to settle our hearts and cast out fear.

In that way, it becomes easier to hear God’s voice and walk in wisdom in our health choices. Peace is the result.

So, ask yourself:

  • “What healing are you believing the Lord for on this journey?”
  • What has He revealed to you that was formerly concealed so that you can be healed?

Ask the Lord in prayer:

”Lord, what am I not seeing that I need to see in my situation? Reveal and heal me. Reveal to me the actions that I need to take on Your revelation so that I can be healed.”

Be Blessed with Health, Healing, and Wholeness,
