Body Restoration Prayer

The word of the Lord in my heart now is “Restoration.”

prayers for losing weight

The body of Christ has lost so much because of deception.

We have listened to the wrong voices for far too long.

Listening to wrong voices lead to wrong choices. Wrong choices lead to sorrow, pain, and regret.

However, God wants to restore His people. Restoration starts with one truth: The body of Christ does not work without the Head (see Ephesians 5:23).

Disconnection happens if we stop living according to the truth in God’s word. Remember, Jesus Himself is the living Word.

So you can’t say you belong to Jesus and reject His word:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).”

“Restoration Prayer”

Please go to a quiet place and pray the following prayer from your heart. Let’s all join our faith together in believing that it will come to pass, according to the word of the Lord.

Father, I enter Your gates with thanksgiving and Your courts with praise. I am thankful for the life You have given to me. I am thankful that You’ve given me food for my hunger and water for my thirst.

I am thankful for all of your provision, Lord. You supply all my need according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Every Spiritual, mental, and physical need I have is covered in the promises in Your word. I have received everything I need pertaining to life and godliness.

I am thankful for salvation. You have given me the true Bread from heaven in your Son, Jesus Christ. O how I love Jesus! I love Him because He first loved me. I am thankful that He gave His life for me. In Him, I walk in newness of life. I am thankful that He lives in me. I am thankful for the hope of glory!

Through Him, I have the received the gift of Your Holy Spirit. Out of my belly flows rivers of Living Water. Revive me according to Your word, Lord! Through the fountain of living waters, I have a continuous source of strength, power, refreshment, renewal, and restoration. Let me never forget that. –“Restoration Prayer”

I repent of any hunger or thirst after worthless things. I am no longer a broken cistern. Broken cisterns can hold no water and I don’t want to spill a drop of all that you have for me. I no longer seek comfort apart from You, Lord. By Jesus’ stripes, I am healed. Jesus has healed my broken heart. He has bound up my wounds.

I am released from every weight that so easily besets me. I lay it aside, offering it as a sacrifice to you, Lord. In exchange, I shall receive Your peace.

If I have forsaken Your counsel in any area in my life Lord, I repent. I return back to You. I am thankful that You never leave me nor forsake me. I am thankful that You are ready to forgive. I am thankful that You are gracious and merciful. I am thankful that You are abundant in kindness.

Restore to me the years that my poor choices have eaten up. I was both deceived by outside influences and deceived myself through my own flesh.

I am thankful that You have given me Your good Spirit to instruct and lead me. I trust You and I no longer lean unto my own understanding. In all my ways, I acknowledge You and You shall direct my path. Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. From this day forward, Lord, I set my heart to walk according to the light of Your Word.

Fix my heart, Oh Lord. Help me to remember every day to take my delight in You. As I delight in You, You will conform my desires to Your desires. And I will be able to walk worthy of my high calling in You. I will walk as a wise and understanding person from now on, in every area of my life.

Give me ears to hear your word and a heart to obey. Use my life Lord, so that others will see my good works and glorify You. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation this day and I will sing Your praise.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Be Blessed with Health, Healing, and Wholeness,

  • Awesome! Lord, thank You for Being the Head and Your Word Truth.
Thank You for receiving me unto Yourself and forgiving me when I have strayed. Thank You for restoration, peace, and REST all around. In Jesus Name. Amen.

  • “I repent of any hunger or thirst after worthless things.” Whew – that’s a big one. I prayed this prayer in full agreement and I’m so eager for the true freedom that comes from submission to my Lord, rather than the lies of freedom that I believed when alcohol was really a horrible master. Praise God!

  • Thank you for this prayer, I prayed it here alone in my office chair this morning and placed the prayer in my journal. I have such trouble with numbing myself with food and cocktails. Time for restoration, renewal and working my mind, body and spirit in the right direction towards Jesus. I ask for your prayers as I have tried everything and have enjoyed listening to stirring words! Thanks so much.

    • I will pray with you, Carolyn. The Lord says in Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Ask Him to give you a vision of your new future, full of hope in Jesus! Healthy, healed, and whole. He walks with you in making the vision a reality, day-by-day, step by step. Don’t miss out on that better future. With faith and patience, you will obtain God’s promises

  • GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!! ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD TO US!! Alleluia Praise God Thank You Lord Jesus for answering my prayer to a weight loss guide using Your Word!! Thank you sister Kimberly Taylor for answering a God given calling on helping those to achieve success using God’s Word. All I can say is “Oh how I love You Lord Jesus!” Again, thank you Kimberly for these prayers.

  • Your website and this prayer above is ANSWER to my prayer! I didn’t know that I had bondage to eating until this last year! I prayed this prayer and know the Lord has touched me, is touching my heart, body, soul, and mind! Your prayer is FULL of the Word and the HS! It is the WORD that heals (Psalm 107:20). This IS the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it! HEALING! Hallelujah! May our Great and Mighty God, in and by the Name of Jesus bless you richly with every spiritual blessing He has for you in the Heavenly realm this day, tomorrow and always! May He continue to bless the work of your hands and share His Healing Word through the pages of your book with hurting hearts and bodies that need His healing touch! Blessed BE HIS GLORIOUS NAME JESUS! AMEN In Christ, Michelle

    • Thank you, Michelle – I receive your prayer, which is full of power and authority. I pray multiplied blessings to you and your family and thank you for your gift of prayer to me!

    • Abba Father, Lord Jesus and Holy Spirit I ask You to break Jezebels witchcraft controlling powers, flatteries, deception, word curses, fearful assaults, false accusations, polluted prophetic utterances, subtle seductions, sorceries, intimidations and any other fowl operations that may blind Steve to her advances. Lord, help him to keep his focus on You and You alone. Thank You for Your Grace and Mercy. Thank You that we know we can come humbly before You when we are attacked or lead into deception. I stand in VICTORY OF JEHOVAH, YESHUA HAMASHIACH, AND RUACH ELOHIM TO FIGHT THIS SPIRITUAL BATTLE FOR STEVE. In Jesus Mighty Holy and Precious name. Amen.

(Jehovah: God; Yeshua Hamashiach: Jesus Messiah; Ruach Elohim: the Spirit of God…Holy Spirit.)

  • Thank you for your great commitment to helping me see the need to turn back to the Lord. I didn’t think I was on the wrong path, but obviously if I am carrying 70 pounds of excess weight for so long then I AM ON THE WRONG PATH. I will print out this prayer and pray it every time I go to food for comfort instead of our dear God. Thank you.

  • FATHER WE RECIEVE THIS WORD , HEALED IN THE NAME OF JESUS THE ONE WHO BORE OUR SINS ON THE TREE AND BY HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED

  • I enjoyed this reading. Allowing God to infuse our minds with His infinite wisdom and knowledge so that our bodies can thrive in the spiritual and the natural. I needed this!!

  • Thank you for sharing this prayer Kim. It truly blessed my spirit today. As I read the prayer aloud I felt a sense of peace come over me. That’s something I truly need today. Be blessed and thank you for always being a willing vessel for the Lord.

  • Kimberly, I so needed this Word today; this is exactly how I am feeling and need restoration. I copied the prayer and will pray it for a week for a long for reconnect what has never been disconnected on God’s side. He never leaves; we return away. Thank you for all you do in TBYT.

  • Your posts are very helpful.
But, Re: “Listening to wrong voices lead to wrong choices. Wrong choices lead to sorrow, pain, and regret.”

I agree they can, but I doubt you mean that all sorrow, pain, regret are due to wrong choices.

Accepting sorrow or low energy or for a time, seeking help are important part of healing.

God has allowed it or we wouldn’t be experiencing it. It can be a result of consequences of our poor choices, but it sometimes has little to do with our choices. (Job for instance, or even an injury or grief or depression.

Either way, caring for our bodies is essential. Sometimes caring is a gentler workout or rest period. Sometimes just allowing feeling the pain and not numbing with food or being upset with yourself that you aren’t “just getting over it” is what is needed. An acceptance that pushing yourself certain times may not be good. God loves us when we are down. I’ve found if I can feel bad feelings and love myself in my down times rather than trying to “fix” them quickly, it helps. By loving myself, someone that is a skipped workout or talk with a friend or time to just be with the pain and with God.

I’ve learned how to be still, accepting where am. I am with God always. I may not be the reason for my sorrow or pain. I may need to step back and stop trying to fix myself so earnestly. Just be. Just accept me and allow the lowness to be experienced and pass.

I guess I felt compelled to write this, because there were many times I felt bad and began clean lifestyle to fix which depleted me more and left me worse off.

Does anyone else understand where I’m coming from?

    Michele : )

    • You are correct, Michelle. While I believe wrong choices lead to sorrow, pain, and regret, I do not believe it works the other way around; All sorrow, pain, and regret do not come from wrong choices. That’s a big lake and many things feed into it. Wrong choices is but one source, but there are others.

I hear what you are saying. May the Lord continue to bless you.

      • Thank you Kimberly for your time, response… your love.

I know you are busy. I can see your heart in your ministry. Your weight/health problems are a way some of God’s love/mercy/understanding are working through the great body of Christ.

Thank you for your wise words and well-wishes.

        Blessings to you!

        Michele : )

        • Something my pastor said has made a great impact on me. He said BOTH correction for sin, doing wrong, and pruning to conform us to the image of Jesus, HURT. What we need to do determine which it is. If wrong-doing, we need to confess the sin and get the cleansing of I John 1:9. If it is the pruning of John 15, we need to submit to God’s work in changing us. (My observation is that correction is often followed by pruning.) This has helped me to fight the arrogance I have to judge someone else’s life regarding why they are being troubled in life. It’s easy to give instruction to someone else to “confess, repent, be healed” than it is to join them in finding what they need to do for God’s blessing.

          • Indeed! Correction doesn’t feel good but that training brings about good in us. Romans 8:28 – “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

  • The bible says ” He is our glory and the lifter of our head” I think that might be so we can look into His beautiful eyes and see His love reflected back to us. There is true healing when we see ourselves as The Father God sees us. We are so precious, so valuable, so worthy of the price Jesus paid for us.
He is my peace, He has broken down every wall.
Thank you Kim once again for your ministry and your faithfulness.

  • Thank you for this prayer. So timely. Just heard a message about giving, tithing, finances. I know that is not what you were talking about here, but same restoration needed. Made lots of mistakes and was deceived because of listening to others, so this prayer really helped. Also, this week, I ordered your plan. Actually, printed out the book with recipes and the one with prayers and promises. Have not weighed because it is so depressing. For now, as you said, going with telling difference in clothes. As the others said, I have used food for comfort, did not know how to really go to Holy Spirit. Having been raised religiously, not really relationally, but that is changing. God Bless you. Will give update about progress later on.

  • Kim, God led me to you and your program. I know this because my heart is full. I have neglected myself since my mother passed away 2 1/2 years ago. I thought I was grieving and just went with all the non emotions I had. I had no desire to do anything, just sit and eat. Eating was my crutch. I took meds for depression for a while but decided I did not want to live like this! God doesn’t want me to live like this! I am His glorious creation and I will, with His help and prayers of believers, stand tall and conquer. Thank you! Bless you!

  • 😉 You are talking to ME. I am OK & I am on my way! WISDOM has spoken, & I have prayed the prayer, I am a fish caught up in your net….TEACH!!! PREACH!!! & let me recover ALL In Jesus Name!

  • Kim I was so amazed when I found your website. You have been a Blessing to me. I am trying so hard to lose weight. But like you said if you can do it any body can. I know that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. So I must take of it. So I am asking for some pointers . I am inspired by you so please can you help me.

  • Blessings to you Kim. Your emails seem to address exactly what I need when I receive them. I wanted to thank you for this prayer. It was packed with truth and a beautiful reminder that apart from Christ we can’t do anything. I have been stuck in a vicious cycle of overeating and shame for some time now and really feel like your ministry has been a rope to help pull me out of this pit. Thank you again for being a faithful servant to sharing Gods Truths.

    • Praise the Lord, Melissa – when I read your message a scripture came to mind: “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage (Galatians 5:1).” Keep your head about you and walk in freedom!

  • Sister Kim you are one of Gods precious jewels. Thank you for your encouraging messages. Very anointed by the Holy Spirit. May Gods love surround you always

  • kimberly, thank you for the prayer. I have been receiving your emails for awhile now but have not read them all or committed to the program. Don’t ask me why..I don’t even know why. All I know right now is that when my mom passed away four years ago from cancer I have not been the same joyful loving person that I was known to be. And have added an extra 40lbs to my weight. I have zero motivation and the fire I once had is non existence. Raising four kids and married to a full of life husband my fire is needed. I don’t know what to expect in writing this reply. Maybe just to connect with others who have similar struggles. I know I need a change of mind. This prayer clicked for me. I will take that for now as God speaking to me and will pray it and thank you for your giving heart. God bless you in how you inspire all these women. They say everyone needs a mentor and I will stop ignoring your emails and begin to read them as a start to mentoring my mind back towards God. Thank you again.

    • Hi Sherry, I understand. There is an old saying that goes, “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.” Have you ever had the experience of buying a car, then suddenly it seems that you are saying that type of car everywhere on the road? I think about it like that. God promises that if we ask, we will receive; if we seek, we will find; if we knock, it will open to us. With an energetic husband and 4 children, seems like great reasons. So something else more powerful is keeping you where you are. That’s a question I’d suggest seeking the Lord about. He’ll give you an answer. God bless you, Sister!

  • Thank you so much Kim for the pray of restoration of the body. A much needed prayer today!! I felt myself going off course with my eating and turning to food for comfort once again, but I’m grateful God has sent a people like yourself to help and restore my soul. Thank you for being used by God as an instrument of his love. Words can’t express how much I needed this prayer; our Father is an on time God. God loves you, Kim!! Also may he keep you safe from harm and danger. When you help God’s people the devil gets mad, but no weapons formed against Kim shall prosper. Be blessed. . .

    • Oh I receive that prayer Felicia – thank you VERY much. We can’t make it through this journey without prayer! Please don’t get down on yourself for falling back into old habits. It can take time to re-wire your brain with the new habits. Keep pressing into the Lord for strength everyday and order your environment to help you stay on track. Typically, we turn to food under stress so be sure that the meditation of your heart during those times is fixed upon God’s word. The more you turn to the Lord for comfort, the more it will become automatic. It’s like anything else, it takes practice and time to get better at it. So give yourself grace. The Lord is good and faithful!

  • Good Morning Kim,
Thank you so much for that prayer. This gives me more confirmation that GOD is in the midst of my restoration. The past seven years have been particularly challenging and a series of events the past two months have dwindled my self-esteem to practically nothing. However, I realized that in the midst of everything GOD has kept me. These setbacks and failures are only a set up for success. Only HE can truly restore me and rebuild me. Thank you so much for your prayers. May GOD continue to bless you.

    Love,

    Taylor

P.S. Because I was in so much pain and bondage, I used food and tv as a crutch alleviate my pain. Now, I realize that only GOD can truly heal me.

  • I put my weight on over the years because i felt trapped in an abusive marriage. The extra weight was a coat of protection for me because it was a way to repel the sexual desires of the person i felt abused by. It was a way to stop him from wanting me. It was my way of detaching myself from the source of my pain. And today, after surviving a critical cancer then divorce after years of abuse, I eat because of depression and low self esteem. I want to change this. I want to find myself again.

Kimberly, i believe there are many victimized out there like me who need your program. Many who need to learn to love themselves again. And realizing how much God loves them is a great way to find healing and purpose again. Using the Bible is what drew me to your program. But depression makes this difficult although i know with God it is all possible and losing weight should be exciting and weight should no longer feel like a form of protection as i heal. I am realizing this now. I’m striving to heal and to love myself again and your daily emails are a great blessing and giving me direction. Thank you for your efforts to reach out with God’s love and through His word.

    • Hi Kim (((HUG))),

Thank you for writing. You are not alone. I’ve had this TBYT website online for over 10 years now. A high percentage of people who are drawn to this site have dealt with abuse, rejection, or abandonment. So food became a form of emotional insulation. I can relate because I did the same thing trying to cope with past hurts in my life! Change starts with just answering ‘Yes’ as God reaches out to you to heal you. Most of the time, God heals by process because He wants us to get to know Him through it.

God’s word does not come back to Him void, but it accomplishes what He pleases. Jesus said in Mark 4:26-29 “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”

Get ready for your harvest of complete and total healing! That’s the greatest benefit you have to look forward to…looking back and seeing how far the Lord has brought you with His tender, loving care!
