The enemy wants to keep you trapped in the hellish space between
regret and
fear.
You fear taking action ("what if..."), but then have regret over
not taking action ("if only...").
It's a "no win" situation.
The enemy's goal is to keep you stuck exactly where you are, wasting days, months and years, trapped on Someday Isle (as in "
Some day I'll get it done...").
It's time to get rescued from Someday Isle. Today is your day!
What keeps you trapped on Someday Isle is believing the enemy's lies.
The image on the right shows you how to assess the thoughts you have.
To get free from sabotaging thoughts, use the AAA (Triple A) guideline:
- Awareness: Pay attention to the thoughts that enter your mind.
- Arrest: If you determine a thought is unproductive according to God's word (this is when you use the THOUGHTS process), then do not agree with it; replace it with God's truth.
Here is why this is important:
Many of us have experienced pain in our past. I have received messages from people who have suffered terrible things, like abuse, neglect, rape, or incest.
The Lord is able to heal all emotional wounds. Nothing is too hard for Him!
However, what the enemy wants is for the hurt person to nurse these hurts and use them as an excuse to practice destructive behavior.
He offers them false comfort with a high price tag.
As a result, the person ends up doing far more damage to themselves than the person who hurt them ever did.
The only way to break out of the cycle is to get a new identity in Christ as healthy, healed, and whole. A new identity requires new ways of thinking and acting.
Is this work? You bet it is!
The mental work you will do with the
Take Back Your Temple program is far greater than any physical work you will do.
But when you have the mind of Christ and are led by the Spirit of God, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you!
Be Blessed in Health, Healing, and Wholeness,
Kimberly Taylor, Author/Christian Life Coach of the
Take Back Your Temple program
Kimberly Taylor is the founder of Take Back Your Temple, a Christ-centered teaching ministry that helps Christian women understand what emotional eating is communicating and respond with wisdom, steadiness, and peace.
After years of struggling with emotional eating and reaching 240 pounds, Kimberly experienced lasting change through Scripture-guided renewal, practical stewardship, and learning to recognize the signals her body had been carrying.
Today, she helps women move from pressure and shame into clarity and steady formation, teaching that emotional eating is often a signal of inner strain rather than a failure of discipline.
Kimberly is the author of The Weight Loss Scriptures, The Anxiety Relief Scriptures, The Weight Loss Prayers, and other faith-based resources that support whole-person restoration.
Her work has been featured in Prevention Magazine, Charisma Magazine, and on CBN’s The 700 Club.
